West Covina Fire Department (WCFD) provides fire protection, emergency medical services, and disaster response for the City of West Covina, serving approximately 109,500 residents across 16 square miles. The department operates five fire stations (Stations 121–125) with 70 full-time firefighters working in three 48-hour shifts.
WCFD staffs four paramedic anssessment engine companies, one quint truck, and three ALS ambulances, along with cross-staffed support units for wildland and special operations. The department transitioned to the Verdugo Fire Communications Center in March 2024, joining a unified regional dispatch system.
WCFD also handles fire prevention, inspections, public education, and participates in California’s OES Regional Task Force 2 for mutual aid and regional disaster response.
