The St. Andrews Fire Department (SAFD) provides professional fire, rescue, and first-responder services to the unincorporated areas of West Ashley. Operating from four strategically located fire stations, the department staffs three engine companies, a ladder company, a rescue company, and a quick response vehicle under the direction of a Battalion Chief.
