24/72 is amazing, fantastic equipment. The union, county government & fire admin work great together. Serious about mental health & physical health ( 1st of its kind on scene decon gear exchange program Decon 1 & 2) aggressive firefighters. Ems is advanced ( blood, ultrasound , vents & pumps on all rescues). Wish they could build & rebuild fire stations faster ( not pcfr issue )
I’ve watched this department go from two man engines and being used as a stepping stone to where it is now. Glad I stayed. Good contracts come and go over the years, we’re in a better place now than ever before. Those who encouraged me to jump ship to work for our southward neighbors early on now ask me about getting hired here themselves. That speaks volumes.
