Jackson County Fire District 1, also known as the Rogue River Fire District, is a combination career and volunteer organization based in Rogue River, Oregon. It provides fire protection, emergency medical services (EMS), and rescue operations to the community. The district responds to approximately 2,700 emergency incidents annually and participates in the Rogue Valley Fire Chief’s automatic aid system, ensuring coordinated emergency response across the region.
This fire department is the most sorry excuse for a public service agency that is ever existed. There is absolutely no forethought put into anything. Leadership is toxic and atrocious. Small town board politics prevent the department from being able to progress and grow. There is no long-term plan for anything.
As just one example of how incompetent this place is, when the region switch to 48/96 schedules, JCFD1 followed suite and got the days wrong. Now they are one day off ontheir 48/96 from everyone else in the region. It’s been this way for years and they cannot even fix their own scheduling.
