The Daisy Mountain Fire & Medical Department serves the communities of Anthem, New River, Desert Hills, and surrounding areas in northern Maricopa County, Arizona. Established in 1989, the department provides fire suppression, advanced life support EMS, wildland firefighting, technical rescue, and public education services. Operating out of multiple stations, Daisy Mountain is known for its rapid growth, strong regional partnerships, and commitment to high-quality emergency response and community safety.
Great place to work! The people here are awesome. I have no complaints about our chiefs—they’ve been solid. Our labor group does a great job representing us. While we’re not overwhelmed with call volume, we still get some good ones that keep things interesting. Honestly, I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else!

From the firehouse kitchen to emergency scenes, there’s a strong sense of camaraderie and family that makes every shift meaningful.
Our chiefs have our backs and genuinely care about the well-being of their crews. Labor is active, involved, and works hard to make sure our voices are heard and respected. It’s refreshing to be in a department where everyone—top to bottom—is pulling in the same direction.
