The Salisbury Fire Department (SFD) in Salisbury, Maryland is a combination career–volunteer department founded in 1879. It operates three stations, covering about 48 square miles with fire suppression, EMS, rescue, hazmat, and marine response services. The Chief and admin do not have the departments and civilians best interests in mind. The department lies about their stats to make themselves look busier than they actually are. Lets not forget the poverty level pay, forcing the majority of its staff to work at least a 2nd fulltime job the pay bills. Overall this department is less than ideal to work for, or have respond to your emergency.
