Fire Chief Mike Hammond leads Jackson County Fire District 1 with years of service and community roots. A Rogue River native and Navy veteran, he began his fire career as a teen sleeper firefighter. He holds a degree in Fire Service Administration from Eastern Oregon University and is a certified paramedic. Chief Hammond focuses on operations and community engagement.
