“During Brian’s tenure as fire chief at the Rhinelander Fire Department, there has been a significant increase in staff turnover. Many have found his leadership style to be closed-minded, which has impacted morale and overall department cohesion. These challenges have led to difficulties in maintaining a stable and effective team.”
During Brian’s brief career at the Rhinelander Fire department, almost 1/2 of the FF’s have left the department. And it was strictly due to his management style. It’s unheard of FF’s to leave to be police officers. It’s that bad. The RFD has never had that bad of turn over. He believes that his style is working and does not care about the safety of the personnel. The last 6 hires have a combined experience of 8 years. He takes on more work load and just delegates it to the lower workers and stresses out all the worker bees. And to top it off he is fighting against giving his workers a pay raise from what I hear. He has the right people convinced thAT there is not any issues at the FD. They need to look at the real reason why the employees left, if they don’t do anything about it now, the department will not survive.
