• Began his career in Beachwood on October 5, 1992.
• Holds a Bachelor of Science in Technology from Bowling Green State University.
Career Progression
• Promoted to Lieutenant on November 6, 2000, and to Captain on August 5, 2002.
• Served as EMS Coordinator, infection-control officer, state-certified fire instructor, and lead training officer.
• He is the Fourth Full‑time Fire Chief in June 2019, sworn in June 3 during a City Council meeting.
Special Rescue & Honor Guard Involvement
• Appointed to Heights Area Special Rescue Team in 1997, certified in high-angle rope, confined space, trench, ice, swift-water, and structural collapse rescue—served over 21 years.
• Founding member of the department’s Honor Guard in 1999; served about 20 years.
Pandemic Leadership
• As Chief during COVID‑19, served as the city’s Chief Medical Officer and infection-control leader. Appointed Lt Iacobucci to coordinate PPE procurement, aligned policies with CDC changes, and advised on public health response.
Department Achievements
• In 2017 under his command, the Beachwood FD earned international accreditation by CFAI, a distinction held by only ~270 departments worldwide .
• Oversaw record-breaking call volume in 2024, as noted in the most recent annual report
