The St. Lucie County Fire District is an independent, countywide fire and emergency medical services agency serving the residents and visitors of St. Lucie County, Florida. The District provides fire suppression, advanced emergency medical services, rescue, special operations, emergency communications, community risk reduction, fire prevention, public education, and related emergency services. The District operates 20 fire stations and employs more than 500 firefighters, protecting approximately 405,000 residents across 572 square miles. In 2025, the District responded to more than 71,000 calls for service. The St. Lucie County Fire District is an internationally accredited agency and maintains an ISO Class 2 rating.
