The Goshen Fire Department protects life and property through emergency response, fire prevention, and public safety education.

With three pumpers, a ladder truck, reserve pumper, rescue truck and a boat, GFD responds to more than 6,000 emergency calls each year and trains regularly to maintain high performance standards.
Chief Anthony Powell leads the department that is dispatched out of the Elkhart County Dispatch Center, and supports citywide emergency planning and disaster coordination.
