The Oceanside Fire Department (OFD) is the municipal fire and emergency medical services agency serving Oceanside, California and parts of surrounding areas, protecting roughly 180,000 residents across a 42 square-mile jurisdiction. With eight fire stations spread throughout the city, it operates around the clock, handling more than 25,000 calls annually, including EMS, fire suppression, rescues, false alarms, and other service calls. In addition to emergency response, OFD conducts fire investigations, plan reviews for development, fire prevention inspections, and public education and outreach programs. Its staffing includes dozens of firefighter/paramedics, engineers, captains, chiefs, and support personnel, all organized to maintain readiness, safety, and community risk reduction.
Manipulative “good ol boy” leadership from admin. Under staffed. Over worked equipment. This organization has destroyed many a good man (myself included), and supports loyalty over ability.
