The City of Benbrook operates an Insurance Services Office (ISO) 2 Fire Department that covers 28 square miles of city and unincorporated Tarrant County. The Benbrook Fire Department is staffed by 30 full-time Firefighter/Paramedics and 1 Administravtive Asst.
The Fire Department operates 2-Class A Fire Engines, 1-Ladder Truck, 4-MICU Ambulances, 2- Brush Trucks, 1-3500 gal Water Tender, 1-Rescue/Haz-Mat Truck, 1-Dive Boat, and 1-Dive Support vehicle out of one central station that is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
All firefighters are certified by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection as structural firefighters. They are also certified by The Department of State Health Services as EMT-Basics and EMT-Paramedics.
The Benbrook Fire Department operates a rope rescue team. This includes high angle rescue and confined space rescue. All members of the rope rescue team are certified by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection as Rope Technicians.
