Lynwood fire department has the potential to be a great department, unfortunately it is ran by a village that mysteriously has no funding or accountability, and a Chief who has next to no experience outside of a private ambulance, and is incompetently leading by fear of losing his job in the next election. He participates in no training, he is really part of the long list of reasons they are the joke of Division 24. No one wants them on their incidents and box cards, and they have people with next to no experience outside of the academy in leadership positions.
The Lynwood Fire Department is a true example of what dedication, commitment, and family look like in the fire service. Under the leadership of an incredibly driven and devoted Chief, this department has overcome countless hurdles to become what it is today. The Chief’s vision, perseverance, and willingness to fight for this department have been nothing short of inspiring. From starting an ambulance service from the ground up to now advancing into ALS, every step forward reflects years of hard work, determination, and an unwavering commitment to serving the community at the highest level.
What truly sets the Lynwood Fire Department apart is its culture. This department is the definition of family. It is a place where firefighters come together as a true brotherhood and sisterhood, supporting one another on and off the job. In challenging moments and everyday operations alike, there is a deep sense of unity, trust, and pride in wearing the Lynwood patch. Everyone looks out for one another, and that bond translates directly into the exceptional service provided to the community. The progress, professionalism, and heart of the Lynwood Fire Department are a direct reflection of strong leadership and a team that genuinely cares. It’s an honor to be associated with a department that continues to grow, push forward, and stand together as one family.
