1 Reviews on “Brooklyn Park Fire Department”
Pros: great crews, firefighters, and our captains look out for their crews and work to help them improve as firefighters. Good jobs and call volume is steady. Fun guys to work with. The crews make this a great place to work and we’re all in it together.
Cons: admin, specifically Chief 3. Always looking to write up guys, won’t hesitate to throw people under the bus (his SPFD history clearly shows this), protects a certain BC who is a horrible “leader” and is demeaning to his crews, sets unreasonable expectations, fails to acknowledge and is dismissive of issues/concerns the rank and file have, acts like a military hard ass when he clearly isn’t, doesn’t stand up to chief 1.
Long story short: if you like jobs and working with great fighters and fire captains and are able to ignore the bull**** from the front office, this isn’t a bad place. Leadership does suck though.
