The Fairbanks Fire Department (FFD) serves the City of Fairbanks, Alaska, providing professional emergency response services including fire suppression, advanced life support (ALS) emergency medical services, hazardous materials response, technical rescue, and fire prevention. Operating out of multiple (two) strategically located stations, the department responds to thousands of calls annually across an urban service area that includes residential, commercial, and industrial zones.
FFD maintains a staff of highly trained firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics, and also conducts public education, fire inspections, and community outreach programs. The department plays a critical role in maintaining public safety and preparedness in the challenging environment of interior Alaska.
